
Kohima, April 13 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended greetings on the occasion of Bihu, Vishu and Baisakhi to the Assamese, Malayali and Punjabi communities in particular and the people of Nagaland in general.
According to a press release from his PRO, the Governor hoped that the festivals will be a harbinger of a new dawn of warm and harmonious relationship, peace, prosperity and progress in the state. All these festivals, he stated, are cultural identities of different States and should be kept alive.
Acharya also expressed hope that the celebrations of Bihu, Vishu and Baisakhi will reinforce love and goodwill among the people and strengthen the bond of unity and brotherhood among them. He further encouraged people to take a pledge for a Swachh, Samriddhi and Shashakt Bharat.
“The celebration of the festivals will strengthen the age old friendship and camaraderie among the people cutting across ethnicity, caste, creed and religion in the State,” he stated.
