Nagaland Governor embarks on 3-day tour of Kiphire; interacts with denizens

Nagaland Governor PB Acharya three-day official tour to Kiphire started today where he visited various institutions, establishment and interacted with the denizens here.  

Interacting with the head of institutions, parents and guardians of Government Higher Secondary School, Kiphire, the Governor stated, “money is pumped enough for small states like Nagaland, but sadly it is only in paper” pointing out the need for true Christian spirit to prevail in all the activities across the state.  

Recalling the past the Governor said, when he first joined his assignment, the state had overall educated unemployment figure of more than 3 lakhs of the 20 lakhs population. To this, he said, it is the pride of the state as we could produce so much educated youths and added, “if all these youths can be job providers rather than job seekers, the state will be progressing way ahead then the advanced state in the country making a passage for the youths to come back and give to the society.  

Stating education, electricity and employment are the three pillars for growth of any nation and society the governor said, India as a country is one such country which is blessed with one of the richest resources in the world and the country as a whole has produced the best ITs in the world, but the youth today are so self-centred with the I, me and myself attitude which is not taking the society forward.  

Disclosing that the most expenditure incurred department in the state are education and public works department, the Governor said money is pumped enough for all development but it is only in the paper as corruption and greed is the threat of all development.  

The governor visited district Hospital, Zisaji Presidency College and also met the civil societies in the district.  

He is also scheduled to have spot verification on landslide to Yayi Bridge tomorrow and will also visit Mimi international trade centre the day after.  

Private Schools’ Association Kiphire Secretary Lips, who also spoke on the occasion submitted representation requesting the governor to introduce science stream in the district, scholarship for girl child, nursing training centre in Distrist Hospital Kiphere, reservation of seat in PG level, funds for exposure trip for private schools and also setting up of library in the district.   Parents and teachers representative also took part in the interaction and discussion.
