Kohima, September 5 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended greetings to the Malayali community on the occasion of Onam. In his message, the Governor said Onam, celebrated with grandeur and devotion, reflects the rich cultural heritage of Kerala and the spirit of unity, peace, and harmony.
He noted that the festival is not only a thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest but also a reminder of the values of love, equality, and togetherness, symbolised by the legendary reign of King Mahabali.
Bhalla wished that the festive season brings happiness, prosperity, and good health to all, and expressed hope that the spirit of Onam would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among people.
