Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, founder & Chancellor Dr AC Shanmugam and others at the 32nd convocation of Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute in Chennai on August 18.

KOHIMA, AUGUST 19 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan on August 18 graced the 32nd Convocation of Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute in Chennai as the chief guest, a press release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan informed.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor congratulated the founder & Chancellor Dr AC Shanmugam for his contributions to the society in the field of education through his various educational institutions. He acknowledged the institute for contributing to the basic needs in the fields of health and education, through their technical institutions and medical colleges and hospitals.
The Governor also congratulated all the students, who were there to receive their awards and prizes. Encouraging the students, he reminded that the world before them is not only large but is fast growing with new technologies and opportunities’ arising every day. He espoused hope that their technical knowledge and education will help improve the quality of life of every Indian citizen and create a bright and sustainable future for the country.
The Governor also called upon the passing out student to be job creators rather than job seekers and pay back to the society through the knowledge earned.
The opening and closing remarks of the convocation were delivered by the founder & Chancellor Dr A C Shanmugam. The Rector of Kursk State Medical University Dr Victor Anatolyevich Lazarenko handed over the Honorius Causa to Dr A C Shanmugam.
Rector R&D Dr D Viswanathan administered the pledge and the vote of thanks was pronounced by Additional Registrar-Medical Dr M Sasirekha.
