Nagaland Governor visits Zisaji Presidency College

Kiphire, February 10 (MExN): Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof Jagdish Mukhi visited Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire and interacted with the facilities and students during his maiden visit to Kiphire on February 9.

The Governor, while addressing the gathering, expressed hope that interaction with the faculties and students would reform and solve the problems in the college, stated as DIPR report. “Education does not only mean gaining bookish knowledge and securing government jobs,” he stated while stressing on ‘the need to develop one's land and take up agriculture with the latest techniques and technology in the State.’

Prof Mukhi reminded Prime Minister’s statement that India will develop only when the North East develop. “Real growth will come in the North East when agriculture is developed and its development is a top priority for the central government,” he added. 

Principal I/C, Dr Puma Chandra Mishra, stressing on the governor’s achievement, said that Prof Jagdish is a true inspiration and a perfect role model for society. He also stated that among the 15 Government colleges in the State, Zisaji Presidency College is occupying the 6th position. Dr Mishra said that the college is doing its best for the all round development of the students' community. 

An interaction was also held with the faculty and students of the college. A vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Professor, Zhoveyi Venuh.
