DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has amended the rate of tax in the sales of petroleum and petroleum products including motor spirit and lubricants as prescribed under entry serial number-3 and 4 of schedule II of the Act. According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, the amended rate of tax for Diesel will be 10% instead of the existing rate of 13.5% and 20.38% for Motor Spirit instead of the existing rate of 23.5%/. This notification shall come in to force with effect from the midnight of 6th October, 2018, the notification stated.
