Nagaland Govt constitutes cabinet sub-committee on women reservation

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee to examine the issue of Urban Local Body elections vis-a-vis women reservation and other related issues and make recommendations.  

The Cabinet Sub-Committee will be headed by G. Kaito Aye, Minister, Agriculture, Co-operation as Chairman and C.M. Chang, Minister, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, Minister, Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue, P. PaiwangKonyak, Minister, Transport & Civil Aviation, Land Resources, Metsubo Jamir, Minister, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs as members. Principal Secretary, Municipal Affairs has been selected as the Member-Secretary of the Committee.  

According to a DIPR report, the State Government has directed the Committee to submit its report/recommendations within 2 months from the date of issue of the notification.
