Kohima, March 11 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has constituted a ‘Political Affairs Mission’ with Chief Minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu as the Chairman. The Mission’s mandate is to look into the existing socio-political issues in the State which require urgent attention, for the betterment of the Naga society, according to a press release from I. Himato Zhimomi, Commissioner & Secretary to Chief Minister. “The Political Affairs Mission so constituted by the Chief Minister supersedes the Political Affairs Committee and all other similar Committees constituted earlier. The Political Affairs Mission will co-opt other members as and when required,” the release stated. Members of the Mission are: Convener – G. Kaito Aye, Minister, NH & Political Affairs; Members – P. Longon, Minister (H&FW); Vikheho Swu, Minister, R&B – Member; Imkong L. Imchen, Minister (Forests); N. Thongwang Konyak, Advisor, DUDA; Dr. TM Lotha, Advisor, T&A, Labour & Employment; Nuklutoshi, Advisor to Chief Minister.
