The Government of Nagaland has recently submitted the state’s prioritized list of projects to the Ministry of DONER for funding, under NLCPR for the year 2010-11. The projects amount to approximately Rs. 1307. 55 crore and Rs. 522.11 crore as requirement. It was furnished in the recently-concluded state assembly session here.
The list was finalized and approved by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and chairman of State Planning Board and submitted to Jayati Chandra, secretary to Government of India, Ministry of DONER, in May, 2010.
The projects include setting up of a medical college in Dimapur at Rs. 100.00 crore, construction of rest house in 28 administrative centers (Rs. 20.00 crore), construction of a “Rani Gaidinliu library” and ‘memorial museum’ in Kohima at Rs. 5:00 crore, North East Agri Expo Centre in Dimapur at Rs. 5.00 crore, proposal for construction of a multi- storied car park in Kohima at Rs. 20.00 crore and a bus and truck terminus at district HQ Peren model township at Rs. 8.00 crore.
Projects under road includes construction of road from Rusoma to Chiephobozou via Thizama, Kohima district (32 km) at Rs. 20.00 crore; a road Hebron- Jalukie in Peren district (20 km) at Rs. 10 crore; a road for Jendang- Saddle- Noklak- Pangsha in Tuensang district (62 km) at Rs. 25.00 crore; a road from Tuli to Molungyimsen, Khar, Changki, Mokokchung Mariani road in Mokokchung district (51 km) at Rs. 25.00 crore.
Widening and improvement of approach road from Alongchen to Sungratsu via Impur, Chami & Kubulong, Mokokchung district (11 km) at Rs. 5.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road Kohima to Leikie road junction to Tepuiki to Barak, inter-district road (10 km (MDR) Ph-III)- Rs. 5.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10); construction of road from Lukhami BRO junction to Seyochung Tizu bridge on Satoi road, Khuza, Phughe, Chozuba state highway junction, inter- district road (90 km (ODR)- Rs. 20.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), improvement of road from border road to Changlangshu, Mon district (19 km)- Rs 5.40 crore (new proposal), construction of road from Pang to Phokphur via Chekipung village under Thonoknyu, Tuensang district (20 km)- Rs. 5.00 crore (new proposal), Japukong range road- Mangkolemba- NH- 61 (Tuli), Mokokchung district (58 km)- Rs. 20.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), construction of road from Pughoboto to Satakha, Zunheboto road, Zunheboto district (50 km) ODR- Rs. 15.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road from Lerie to Kidima via Phesama, Kigwe, Mima, Kohima district (35 km) ODR- Rs. 15.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), construction of road from NH- 61 at Yisemyong Agri Research Centre to Noksen town via Chakpa and Longkong, Mokokchung district- Rs. 10.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), road connecting Aghunato- Shamator- Zunheboto district Ph-II- Rs. 5.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road from NH- 150- Thipuzu road to Phusachodu, Phek district (15 km)- Rs. 8.00 crore (retained 15 kms in 2006-07. Balance to cover 10 kms), construction of road from Chiechama- Teichuma- Tsemekhuma road, Kohima district (14 km)- Rs. 5.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road from Ganeshnagar/Khekiho village to Jalukie via Horangse, Dimapur district- Rs. 5.00 crore ( proposed during 2009-10), construction of road from Suruhuto to Asukhume, Zunheboto district (17 km (MDR)- Rs. 5.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), construction of road at Chuchuyimlang (tourist village), Mokokchung district (12 km)- Rs. 5.00 crore (proposed during 2009-10), construction of road from Longleng, Pongo Yeanching- Ukha junction- Changlangshu- Tamkoang- ITC (DAN) Pangsha (20 km), Inter district road (new proposal), construction of road from NH-61 to Longleng- Ladigarh road via Yaongyimsen village (21 km)- Rs. 6.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road from Sedzu to Yoruba via Ighanumi with bridge- Rs. 10.00 crore (new proposal), construction of road from Chen Moho to Chingkao with bridge (20 km)- Rs. 10.00 crore (new proposal) and construction of road from Tuli – Kangching (32 kms) – Rs 10:00 crore (new proposal).
Projects under geology & mining includes- construction of road from Molen to Molen Marble Deposit, Phek district (10 km)- Rs. 5.00 crore (new proposal) and upgrading of road from Pungro to Pokphur, Kiphire district (28 km)- Rs. 8:00 crore (new proposal).
Bridge over river Hipu to Satoi – Seyochung road- Rs. 5.00 crore, bridge over River Doyang on Longidang-Shena road- Rs. 5:00 crore, bridge over Bhumji river on Longkhim- Noksen road- Rs.5.00 crore, bridge over Loyi river on Kivikhu- Sukhai (on Phek- Zunheboto road)- Rs. 5.00 crore, bridge on Tizu river on the road from Lanye to Meluri, bridge on Sakuphu river on ARTC to Jalukie road- Rs. 5.00 crore, bridge on Kizari river between Phek to Kizakie- Meluri- Rs. 5.00 crore, bridge on river Yai on Shamatore to Hukir to Aghunato- Rs. 5.00 crore and bridge on over river Chathe between Toluvi to Ghonivi, Dimapur – Rs. 5.00 crore (all new proposal).
Others includes integrated development of identified villages in Nagaland at Rs. 10.00 crore, protection/control of landslide and soil erosion in Tuensang town at Rs. 10.00 crore, construction of a hostel near Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung district at Rs. 4.71 crore, biodiversity conservation at Rs. 10.00 crore, construction of 132 KV S/C Wokha- Zunheboto-Mokokchung transmission line- Phase I Wokha Doyang at Rs. 7.00 crore and construction of end equipments and a 220 KV S/C transmission line from Dimapur to Chiephobozou at Rs. 20. 00 crore.
