Nagaland Govt officially notifies NSSB Regulations

Kohima, August 21 (MExN): The State Government has officially notified the constitution of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) and has issued regulations to govern its functioning. 

A notification by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DP&AR) posted on its website on August 20 informed that the Board “shall function as per the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) Regulations 2020” and  administratively be under the DP&AR. 

“The NSSB Regulation, 2020 shall come into force w.e.f. the date of publication in the Nagaland Gazette,” informed notification signed by the State Chief Secretary.  

All direct recruitment of Group-C posts presently recruited by presently by the Departmental Recruitment Board as per DP&AR’s office memorandum dated October 26, 2017 would be recruited through NSSB, it added.

The NSSB 2020 Regulations also comprised of the composition of the Board; service conditions of the chairman, members and Officials/Staff; and the functions of the NSSB regarding the conduct of examinations and recommendations of suitable candidates for appointment of Group-12' posts in the State.
