Kohima, July 24 (MExN): The State Government on Friday clarified that the usage of term “underground organisations” in the July 7 office memorandum relating to furnishing of self declaration form by state government employees, “was conveyed by the Raj Bhavan.”

Reiterating that the office memo was issued on the direction of the Governor, the clarification which was issued through the DIPR stated, “The State Government had used the term ‘Naga political organizations’ in its press release dated July 22, 2020.”

“As stated in the State Government’s Clarification dated July 22, 2020, the letter of this direction was sent to the Chief Secretary from the Commissioner & Secretary to Governor on February 14, 2020 asking for the information to be furnished by April 2, 2020. 

A reminder letter was received from the Governor’s office on June 24, 2020 requesting to furnish the information urgently for the perusal of the Governor,” it said.
