
DIMAPUR, March 17 (MExN): The Food Corporation of India, Regional Office Dimapur, has announced that ample stocks are currently available in the central pool to fulfill the requirements of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other schemes of the Government of India for Nagaland. As of March 14, approximately 52,518 metric tons (MT) of rice are available in the central pool, exceeding the expected lift of around 15,800 MT during March 2024. This surplus is well above the buffer norms and operational requirements, the office added.
