
Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): The regional office of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) in Dimapur has affirmed that the State of Nagaland currently possesses ample rice stocks to meet the demands stipulated by the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other government schemes. In a press release dated February 23, the regional office asserted that as of February 22, 2024, the central pool boasts around 48,055 MT of FRK Rice (Fortified Rice Kernels). This quantity exceeds operational requirements, with approximately 12,258 MT scheduled for lifting during February 2024, it maintained. The release further clarified that the available stock comfortably surpasses buffer norms, ensuring a stable supply for the state.
