Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The Central Youth Organisation (CYO) Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Nagaland congratulated Team Nagaland for the remarkable achievement at the recently concluded 2nd edition of the North East Olympic Games 2022.
The NDPP CYO through its media cell said that the exemplary performance displayed by the sports persons is truly praiseworthy whereby securing record breaking medal tally compared to the 1st edition held in Manipur 2018.
Stating that “Nagaland has witnessed tremendous growth and development in the sports sector at an acceleration rate” under the leadership of CM Neiphiu Rio and President, Nagaland Olympic Association, the NDPP CYO said, “envisioning to empower the youths through sports, the government has launched and established several sporting facilities and infrastructures across the state with many more still underway.”
It stated that “Today, Nagaland is witnessing far reaching development in the field of sports which is going stronger and higher with the infrastructures being emphasized within these last 3 to 4 years."
Further, it stated that the first ever Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) written exam recently held “may be noted as a citable addition to the vision embarked by the CM for the unemployed youths in the state.” It expressed confidence that all means of transparency will be maintained in the selection of the eligible candidates by way of meritocracy.
