Longleng, December 22 (MExN): Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, S Pangnyu Phom inaugurated Toiching village under Longleng district and also inaugurated Sub-Center at Orangkong, Yaongyimchen and Lingjan Agri link road, in the presence of DC Longleng, Phom People Council, Village Council and Civil societies on December 19, stated a DIPR report.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural programme of Toiching village, S Pangnyu Phom said before the official approval of the government for setting up of the new council and VDB of any new village there should be a system of ‘One custom, One citizen, One culture, One students unit band’ only with that there would be no misunderstanding and there would be a binding within the community.
Though this village is under the council of Yachem, the developmental programmes will be separately provided, it depends on how the people manage with it, he stated. “I would also request the DC to recognize and approve the Village Council, VDB and the health sector at the earliest possible. The leaders of the village should also have the knowledge and curiosity of availing the developmental funds provided by the government,” he asserted.
Short speech was also delivered by guest of Honor shri. Dharam Raj, IAS, DC Longleng, followed by Head Barrick Yachem, Changtongya VCC, Yongshei VCC, Yongnyah VCC, Yaongyimchen VCC and President (Phom People Council).
Rev M Adao Pastor, YBC, blessed the gathering with the word of God and Invocation. Isakumba Phom, Council Chairman Yachem delivered the welcome address. Introduction of the village was said by H Maren and M Chongmei, Youth Pastor YBC presented a special song. L Haushing Phom, VDB secretary Yachem said the vote of thanks and Rev TI Lakpa Pastor, NBC pronounce the benediction. Earlier the programme was chaired by Santau Phom.
