Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom on Friday inaugurated Yongsham village under Longleng district.
In his inaugural speech, he congratulated the Phom leaders for leading the people and for expanding villages in the Phom area. At present the Phom area has a total of 26 villages which according to him, is a good sign of leadership. He urged the people of the newly inaugurated village to ‘sign an MoU along with the inaugural of the new village to avoid any misunderstanding in the future as disunity is prevalent in all societies even among family,’ according to a DIPR report received here.
Speaking on the Government of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said the present central government works on giving incentives directly to the citizens, giving citizens the opportunity to enjoy the benefits. He also encouraged the new villagers to have visions for the integration and unity of the village. The Minister also said that the vision must not be focused and confined only to a particular village but for the entire Phom community, Nagas and beyond, the DIPR report stated.
