Kiphire, November 30 (MExN): Nagaland Health Project under the aegis of Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, organised two days health camp under Kiphire District, at Phelunger and Lihtsaoung village on November 28, and Anatonger and Nutsü village on November 29 respectively.
According to District Media Officer (NHM) CMO Office stated that the health camp was carried out by Nagaland Health Project (NHP) Kiphire, lead by District Facilitator Zitilong Sangtam. The programmes delivered at the health camp were ANC checkups, HIV/AIDS and sugar test and special eye treatment were given. IEC leaflets and pamphlets materials were also distributed to the communities.
Including all together 198 patients were enrolled, out of it 26 patients were diagnosed with Hyper tension and four patients were diagnosed with T2 Diabetes Mellitus and one patient was diagnosed with both Hyper tension and Diabetes mellitus and four ANC checkups were carried out during the camp.In all the villages’ health camp, the respective Pastor prayed before the programme and Quality talks With the councils were conducted and the medical team were facilitated by the village councils.
At the health camp, Dr. Hedungkiebe also addresses the villages to have coordination with the department even in the future days. He also encourages promoting health education to one another and to access health care facilities given by the government.
The programme was headed by Dr. Hedungkiebe (sr. Ophthalmologist) and Dr. Dheni (district epidenologist), and Zitilong, NHP District Facilitator Kiphire, coordinated by DAPCU & ICTC staffs, RNTCP staffs, NHP staffs, and District Media Officer (NHM) Atsali T (Thongtsar) CMO Office Kiphire.
