Mon, October 29 (MExN): A state-level team of health officials has completed a Pre-Common Review Mission (Pre-CRM) monitoring visit across 27 health units in Mon district.
The five-day visit, which concluded on October 28, aimed to assess the preparedness of health facilities and review the implementation of national health programmes under the National Health Mission (NHM).
The monitoring team was led by Dr Imkongtemsu Longchar (SIO/UIP) and included senior officials from various programmes: Dr Rupert Peseyie (SPO-RCH), Dr Tinenlo James (SPO-PMNDP), Dr Apichetla Amer (APO-NTEP), Dr Longri Kichu (Public Health Specialist, NHM), Benjungtoshi Jamir (PM-CH), Aotemsu Ozukum (Consultant-NUHM), Tongpangmatsung (Consultant-NPCDCS), Imsubenla (PH & Training Consultant-NVBDCP), Ongjetla Ozukum (APM-HMIS), Kevin Kekruneihou Zinyu (CPHC Consultant), Ruokuolatuo Rutsu (Finance-UIP), and Rajesh Khartu Monsang (RPO, UNDP).
During the exercise, the officials reviewed service delivery mechanisms, infrastructure, data reporting, and community-level implementation of various national health programmes. While acknowledging significant progress across health facilities, the team also identified certain areas requiring further attention to strengthen overall service delivery.
A debriefing session was held on the final day, where the team presented key findings and shared feedback with district health officials. The session emphasized collaborative efforts to enhance health service delivery.
The Pre-CRM visit served as a preparatory step for the upcoming Common Review Mission, helping to identify achievements and areas for strengthening the public health system in the district.
