Nagaland H&FW explores collaboration with Novo Nordisk Foundation

Kohima, October 29 (MExN): The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland held a consultative meeting with members of Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) from Denmark for possible collaboration in various fields of health programmes and education, nursing & medical education, environmental sustainability, food security and nutrition. The meeting was held at HFW Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat on October 28.

An update received here stated that the meeting was attended by representatives of Novo Nordisk Foundation, Principal Director Dr E Motsuthung Patton, Mission Director Dr Akuo Sorhie, officers from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare and was chaired by S Tainiu, Additional Secretary, HFW.

Flemming Konradsen, Senior Vice-President for Social & Humanitarian NNF expressed gratitude for the opportunity to interact, learn and perceive new understanding of Nagaland State and mentioned that he is looking forward for the collaboration in assisting the State in their best caliber.

The meeting also discussed at lengths about the challenges faced in Nagaland, and areas of concern where the Foundation can help for the welfare of the people.
