Discusses several issues pertaining to health sector of the State
Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): The Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland S. Pangnyu Phom called on Sudan Preeti, Secretary to MoHFW at New Delhi on January 14. The Minister discussed several issues with the Secretary pertaining to health sector of the State.
A press release received here stated that the Minister specifically mentioned and appeals the Secretary to take up the upgradation of Naga Hospital Authority Kohima to 500-beded hospital on priority as it is the only hospital that will support to run the Nagaland Medical College.
The duo also discussed regarding the upgradation of District Hospital Longleng and Zunheboto apart from other issues that are submitted to the Ministry and Secretary on her visit to State last year.
Earlier, the Minister thanked the Secretary for approval for setting up of NCDC in Dimapur and Model Rural Health Research Centre at Niuland, Dimapur.
The Secretary, Sudan expressed that she has monitored the performance of the Department personally and said is satisfying and assured to extend her all support for improvement of health sector in the State.
The Minister was accompanied by Kashiho Sangtam, Minister for Soil and Water Conservation and Geology and Mining and Dr. Hentok Phom.
