Nagaland to host four Vijay Merchant Trophy matches

The Nagaland U-16 boys team for the Vijay Merchant Trophy.

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 9 (MExN): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allotted the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) as hosts for four matches of the U-16 Boys Vijay Merchant trophy for the North-East and Bihar Zone for the 2019-20 season.

The matches will be held at the Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium. The matches include Nagaland vs Arunachal Pradesh from October 11 to 13; Nagaland vs Manipur from October 17 to 19; Nagaland vs Mizoram from October 23 to 25; and Nagaland vs Sikkim from October 31 to November 2. 

Meanwhile the NCA has declared its U-16 Boys team for the Vijay Merchant Trophy. The team members include Yugandhar Singh (C), Keduowhetuo, Sujal Prasad, Khrievitso Kense, Lal Kishan Thakur, Md. Shahin Uddin, Purtongzuk Longkumer, Savlin Kumar Mallick, Sosangmar Imsong, Huto T Achumi, Yash Tripathi, Neizekho Rupreo, Elamo N Ezung, Mhachen R Kith an, and P Neizolie Metha. Included are three guest players as well—Rohan Parchanda, Sravan Naga Konidena and Sarthak Yadav. 

The team will be led by coach Arzoo Raj, assistant coach Talikaba, manager Neiketou Rupreo, and physio Inato Achumi.
