Kohima, June 12 (MExN): The felicitation of toppers, rank holders and achievers of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2025 was held at Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on June 12, under the aegis of Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan.
Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor, School Education & SCERT, read out the Governor’s message. The Governor emphasised that this moment of triumph is not theirs alone, but also a reflection of the unwavering support of parents, families, teachers, and schools. He highlighted the critical role educators play, not just in imparting knowledge, but in cultivating discipline, curiosity, and ambition among students, stated a press release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan Kohima.
“You are not just students; you are the nation-builders of tomorrow,” he stated, calling on them to uphold values such as honesty, hard work, adaptability and a commitment to lifelong learning. He also urged the students to contribute to Viksit Bharat - A Developed India by 2047, a vision he holds dear.
In his address, Advisor Dr Yhome commended Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) for the smooth and successful conduct of the 2025 examinations. He reminded students of their potential as future leaders, and urged them to be bold in their aspirations, affirming that “courage defines both character and success.”
Dr Yhome emphasised the importance of giving back to society. “The way you give back ultimately reflects your true character,” he said. He concluded by underscoring the transformative power of education: “Only education can truly liberate you as you step into a new chapter of life.”
As part of the felicitation programme, a wide range of awards were presented including Governor's Awards to HSLC & HSSLC Toppers; Governor's Awards (HSLC & HSSLC) for Achievers in Modern Indian Language (MIL) & Skill Education Subjects; Outstanding Government School Students; Students from Eastern Nagaland; Governor’s Excellence Award for Science Study (HSSLC); and NBSE Awards to HSLC & HSSLC Toppers.
