Nagaland: Increase in rate of petroleum tax comes into effect

Kohima, February 18 (MExN): The Finance Department (Revenue Branch), Government of Nagaland in a notification issued that in exercise of powers conferred by sub section 3 of section 3A of the Nagaland (Sales of Petroleum and Petroleum Products including Motor Spirit and Lubricants) Taxation Act, 1967 (as amended), the Government of Nagaland has notified that the rate of tax as prescribed under Entry Serial Number 3 & 4 of schedule II of the Act shall stand amended as follows:
 

Further, the Government of Nagaland has notified that the rate of Road Maintenance Cess against Entry Serial Number 3 & 4 of schedule II of the Act shall stand amended as under:

This notification came into force with effect from the midnight of  February 15.
