Nagaland Influencers Conclave 2.0 participants take a united Influencers’ Pledge, affirming their commitment to use their voices and platforms responsibly.

Kohima, June 13 (MExN): Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) organised the Nagaland Influencers Conclave 2.0 under the theme ‘Empower and Engage’ at De Oriental Grand, Kohima on 12. The event brought together a group of social media influencers for orientation on HIV and STI related matters, a release receive here stated.
The conclave aimed to amplify awareness on HIV and STI prevention, testing, treatment, and available support services by leveraging the influential voices of local content creators. The event saw the participation of 32 influencers from across Nagaland, each recognised for their “commitment to social causes.”

The programme commenced with keynote address by Dr Ahu Sekhose, Project Director of NSACS, who emphasised the vital role influencers can play in shaping public discourse and breaking the stigma around HIV.
Metevinuo Sakhrie, Joint Director (IEC & MS) spoke on the significance of digital platforms in reaching the youth and vulnerable populations with credible and relatable messages.
The panel discussions were led by the Program Officers: Dr M Nukshisangla Jamir, Joint Director (BSD), Dr MC Longai Phom, Joint director (STI & DAPCU), Dr Zaiwang Zeliang, Joint Director (CST), Metevinuo Sakhrie, Joint Director (IEC & MS) and Dr Bernice D Thapru, Joint Director (Prevention). The panellists shared insights on the current status of HIV interventions in the state and key information related to HIV and STI. Yhuni, member of Kohima Network of Positive people (KNP+) also shared her experiences on positive living and community support as one of the panellists.The program was moderated by Chongkoi Khaming, Asst. Director, NSACS.

The Tetseo Sisters presented special performance during the event.
A highlight of the event was the vibrant “Red Ramp” segment, where influencers walked the ramp and voiced “one-liners in support of the HIV cause.” Each participant used this moment to creatively express solidarity, raise awareness, and challenge stigma, turning the runway into a bold statement of advocacy and hope, the release stated.
The participants also took a united Influencers’ Pledge, affirming their commitment to use their voices and platforms responsibly.
