Nagaland inter-collegiate commerce festival held

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The Department of Commerce, Unity College organized its first annual inter-collegiate commerce festival, COMMVANZA 2018 on February 10 with the theme ‘Spectrum of Excellence.’  

The Festival was organized with an objective to present a platform to the commerce colleges in Nagaland and the commerce students in particular to showcase their talents and skills and at the same time aims to inculcate true competitive spirit in the students. The events of the Festival were-The Entrepreneur, AD- Mad, Quiz O Mania, Group Discussion, Turncoat and Laughter Challenge.  

In the inaugural of COMMVANZA, Khrishna Kant Upadhyay, the Director College Development Council, Nagaland University was the chief guest. The Judges for the events were: Dr. T. Gohain, Assoc. Professor, SASARD, Nagaland University, Dr. Ditalak Mpanme, Asst. Professor Department of Management, Nagaland University, Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Asst. Professor, Nagaland University and Dr. Sant Gupta, Asst. Professor, S.D Jain Girls’ College Dimapur.  

St. Joseph College Jakhama, Baptist College Kohima, Oriental College Kohima, Kohima College Kohima, Mount Mary College Chumukedima, Tetso College Dimapur, Eastern Christian College, Yemhi Memorial College, Pranabananda Women’s College and Unity College Dimapur were the participating colleges in COMMVANZA 2018. The overall winner was Unity College Dimapur and Runners Up was Tetso College Dimapur. The sponsors for the winner prize, events trophies and refreshments were Brittanica (India), Amar Mill and Synergy System.
