IRCS Dimapur Branch members at the relief material distribution programme in Dimapur on November 27.

Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): Zubenthung Ngullie, SDO Dimapur Sadar distributed relief materials to the underprivileged people of Railway colony, Civil Hospital colony, Netaji Colony, Urban Complex colony and adjoining areas at Shri Shri Ram Thakur Temple, behind Dimapur railway station on November 27, in the presence of the Managing Committee members and patrons of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Dimapur branch.
Speaking on the occasion, Ngullie appreciated the dedicated services of Dimapur Red Cross and its volunteers in particular for their service in containing the pandemic in Dimapur District.
Earlier, the Managing Committee members took turns to highlight the committee’s activities during the pandemic like ration packaging and distributions, support to the administration, assistance to the returnees, managing quarantine centers, ambulance etc. besides creating awareness about the expected second wave of COVID-19.
They also expressed gratitude to the District Administration, Commissioner of Police, Chief Medical Officers for their 24x7 service to assist the public in general during the pandemic.
The Dimapur Red Cross Society informed that the relief items including tarpaulins, blankets, utensils, mosquito nets, t-shirts masks, soaps etc were sponsored by the IRCS headquarters along with Nestle India and extended gratitude to them.
Later, masks were also distributed to all the 500 Red Cross volunteers through respective Team Leaders at NIIT Dimapur Center.
