Kohima, November 27 (MExN): The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kohima District Branch under the banner of IRCS, Nagaland State Branch participated in the State wide special programme on COVID-19 under the theme, ‘Together we can defeat COVID-19’.

The IRCS, Kohima District distributed face masks, soaps and pamphlets on COVID awareness. Earlier the programme was launched by Atuolie Mepfhiiuo, Chairman, High School Colony, Kohima.

Free mask sponsored by IRCS, Nagaland State Branch and soaps by Nestle Company were distributed to street vendors, butchers and traffic personnel on duty, the IRCS Kohima Branch informed in a press release on Friday.

Office bearers, managing committee members and IRCS, Kohima volunteers participated in the programme.

Meanwhile, the office bearers and the Managing Committee members of the IRCS, Kohima under the aegis  of IRCS, Nagaland  State branch visited  two  fire victim families at Kezieke Colony under North Block Ward No-3 in Kohima on November 27. The society informed that it provided utensils, blankets and cash to the families.
