Wokha, July 6 (MExN): The Nagaland unit of Janata Dal United, JD (U) has spoken against the “ceaseless attack” on the Chief Minister of Nagaland vis-à-vis his stand on the issue of Naga integration.
A press statement from JD (U) today maintained that the clarification made regarding the issue on June 14 and 15 is “categorically clear” as far as the “confusion” is concerned.
Further, the communiqué of the Chief Minister dated July 4 is “very candid,” it said. JD (U) quoted the CM as saying that he was only conveying the actual statement of the Union Home Minister who had conveyed to the delegates of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) led by Chief Minister the stand of the GoI on the issue of integration.
“Therefore, the JD (U) sincerely feels that there can be no cloud of doubt that can loom over the person of CM Neiphiu Rio in so far as his stand on integration is concerned,” the release stated.
The party further appealed to one and all to put the issue at rest and join hands with one another for an early solution to the long pending Naga problem.
