Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan, under the Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland is celebrating Poshan Maah with the convergent departments during the month of September 2023. '
During the ensuing Poshan Maah 2023, activities focusing on following themes have been considered: Exclusive Breastfeeding ad Complementary Breastfeeding; Swasth Balak Spardha (SBS); Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi (PBPB); Improving Nutrition through mission LIFE; Meri Mati Mera Desh (MMMD); Tribal focused Nutrition sensitization; Test, Treat, Talk Anaemia.
Some important activities on the Poshan Maah themes will include: Intensive Beneficiaries Enrollment Drive including Aadhaar Verification & Mobile Verification of Beneficiaries; Release Short Animation; Enrollment Drive; Importance of Millet; Obtaining Pledge on Poshan; Invite Local Leaders; Activity during home visit include discussion on Breastfeeding, Complimentary Feeding, and Good Nutritional Practices; Awareness Camp for Pregnant Women & Lactating Mothers; Sensitization of Community Leaders on SAM/MAM Children; Growth Monitoring Activities by the AWW; Seminar on ECCE; Demonstration of Indigenous Toy's in AWC for the Children and Parents; Sensitization of Tribal Communities on Millet and Local Food; Local Food Show; Anaemia Screening & Sensitization Camp for Women, Adolescent Girls and Children; Cooking competition on Locally available Food & Vegetables; Nutrigarden - Setting up of Nutri-Garden in AWC/Community Land and Plantation drive in Nutri-Garden; Awards to best performing field workers.
It will also include the closing of Poshan Maah converging departments in the State comprising Department of Social welfare, Health & Family Welfare, RD-NSRLM, Horticulture, AYUSH, Agriculture, Gen Administration and Department of School Education.
