Nagaland journalists touring team visits Tejuva Wind Power Plant

The seven member journalists touring team from Nagaland visited the Tejuva Wind Power Plant managed by the Suzlon Power Infrastructure Limited, which produces 4000 megawatts of power through windmill energy.
Out of the total requirement of 10,000 MWs for the whole of Rajasthan, the wind power plant Tejuva alone generates power through 96 turbines that set been set up.
During an interaction with the visiting media team on September 23, Senior Manager, Manoj Kumar Verma and Assistant General Manager, Suresh Bagada explained in detail how the wind power plant generates electricity.
They said that with the power generates from the wind plant, power is send to the government, which is then supplied to the households, industries etc.
The Suzlon Group, it informed is one of the leading renewable energy solutions providers in the world with an international presence across 19 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and North and South America.
With over two decades of operational track record, the Group has a cumulative installation of approximately 16.07 GW of wind energy capacity. Suzlon is the only Indian wind energy company with a large in-house Research and Development (R&D) set-up in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and India. 10 GW of the Group's installation is in India, which makes up for —35% of the country's wind installations making Suzlon the largest player in this sector.
Earlier during the days, the visiting media team met with the geology students from Mohanlal Sukhadia Univeristy Udaipur.
The team was led by Abdul Hamid, Dy. Director PIB Imphal who is also holding the additional charge of Kohima and Ashish Verma, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Jodhpur.
