DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 20 (MExN): President of Khokho Federation of India, Sudhanshu Mittal also the Vice President IOA, announced that the Nagaland Khokho Association has been formed in Nagaland which will be headed by Victor Angami.

 


Speaking to DPRO Dimapur, Sudanshu Mittal informed that Khokho Federation of India (KKFI) has announced a grant of RS.6 lakh annually for the Nagaland Khokho Association to develop Khokho in Nagaland. The top 2 players from Nagaland will join the national camp of Khokho where selection of Indian team would be held in New Delhi from January 10, 2020, he informed. 

 


He further said that those selected would participate in the Asian Khokho Championship to be held in New Delhi from January 20, 2020 onwards. 

 


"The players of Nagaland will get opportunity to compete against players from rest of India and will be able to learn and pick up skills," he maintained. He also disclosed that KKFI has invited 1 coach from Nagaland to be part of the National camp to accquaint with the technical skills as well as team craft of Khokho.

 


Sudanshu Mittal  also ensured that players from Nagaland will be given the opportunity to participate in the National Khokho League to be held shortly which would be covered live Nationwide.
