Department of Land Resources, Nagaland organised a review meeting on PMKSY-WDC 2.0 and other schemes on September 26.
Ruzaphema, September 26 (MExN): The Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Nagaland organised a review meeting on Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Watershed Development Component-2.0 (PMKSY-WDC 2.0) and other schemes.
The meeting, held on September 26 at the Resource Centre in Ruzaphema, aimed to assess the progress of ongoing projects, stated a press release received here. The meeting was attended by Advisor, Commissioner & Secretary, Additional Secretary, Under Secretary of the Department of Land Resources and Officers and staff of Directorate and the districts.
During the inaugural programme, Albert Ngullie, Director of Land Resources welcomed all the participants and highlighted in brief the departmental activities and the achievements of PMKSY-WDC 2.0 and other schemes implemented by the department.
Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Commissioner and Secretary of Land Resources in his keynote address mentioned that this department being a performing department should continue to keep the pace and urged everyone not to just implement the project activities but to work on a mission modefor the benefit of our community.
G Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor of Land Resources, shared his insights and stressed that equal importance should also be given for the welfare of human resources of the department besides implementation of the program. He stressed that due attention should also be given to the welfare of the officers and staff of the department and urged the administrative and directorate heads to also ensure a system for acknowledging outstanding performing officers and staff of the department. He reiterated on the importance of promoting team work as in order to make tangible achievements, it is not the work of an individual but the concerted effort of a team.
He further emphasised that “whatever activities or schemes we implement should be quantifiable, we should have measurable achievements and be outcome oriented.”
The inaugural programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Hekato N, Additional Director of Land Resources.
It was followed by PowerPoint presentations from 15 districts on the progress of implementation of the works in their respective districts.
