Kohima, May 14 (MExN): The Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed all allopathic medical practitioners in the state that all doctors serving or practicing under modern medicine must be registered with the council. Allopathic doctors from outside Nagaland coming for medical camps or serving as visiting doctors in clinics or hospitals must also register with the NMC, it said.
Further, the NMC stated that all practicing medical practitioners registered under the council must renew their registration every five years. These mandates are stipulated under the relevant provisions of the NMC Act 2014, stated a circular from Dr Kevilhulie Meyase, Deputy Registrar of the NMC. It further informed that the Executive Committee of the NMC has revised the fees for registration and renewal, effective from July 1, 2024.
