KOHIMA, OCTOBER 12 (MExN): At the completion of Day-8 of the ongoing Nagaland Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRCV) on October 10, the state health department has conducted 2078 school and 490 outreach sessions, bringing the overall total vaccination to 2,10,515 children.
A press note from the department informed that this is already 44.86% of the total target set for Nagaland.
“Till date, there have been no AEFI (adverse event following immunization) cases reported and with another 4 more weeks of the Campaign left, the department is very optimistic in achieving the target set for MRVC,” it added.
The department further informed that outreach sessions are also being organised in all villages, wards and colonies all over Nagaland.
It meanwhile urged those children, who missed out on vaccination at schools, to visit the nearest health facilities and outreach session sites during the remaining duration of the campaign.
