Nagaland MRVC coverage reaches 3.23 lakh

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Nagaland State Health Department today informed that as per reports collected on October 21, the state’s Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) has reached a coverage of 3,23,308 children through 2,679 school and 1,013 outreach sessions by the end of day 19 of the campaign.

“The department has been continuously conducting sessions even on weekends and keeping the health facilities open even during the Puja holidays to make sure that no child between 9 months and 15 years are left unvaccinated,” the department stated. It said that credit needs to be given to all the officers and health workers who are tirelessly working since October 3.

It meanwhile asked all partners and stakeholders to keep co-operating in order to make sure that “our future generation is free from the deadly Measles and Rubella diseases.”
