Nagaland: NDPP media committee holds virtual meeting

DIMAPUR, JUNE 3 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Media & Communication Committee held a virtual meeting on June 3 to discuss various issues related to the present scenario and issues related to COVID19 and the lockdown period. 


A press release from the NDPP Media & Communication Committee informed that the meeting was chaired by the Secretary General of the Party, Abu Metha and presentations were made by Merentoshi, Spokesperson and Convenor of the Media & Communications Committee, Sebastian Zumvu, TL Merry and other leaders. 


The house appreciated the efforts of the PDA Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Deputy CM, Y Patton. The meeting also extended appreciation to all the frontline workers and the various government machineries who are working round the clock in the service of the people.  It also acknowledged the various humanitarian activities and charitable works that are being carried out by all wings of the party.


The meeting further discussed various issues relating to party activities, media strategies and to initiate road maps for party activities in the coming weeks.


It resolved to promote similar practices at all levels of the party as it would help keep all informed about the situations though staying in different locations.


The meeting decided to engage with different organisations and committees of the party through video conferencing using information technology internet based applications.
