ASUD asks to replace signboards

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) has requested all business establishments along Tajen Ao Road, Dimapur to replace their signboards which carry the old name ‘Circular Road’. It is to be mentioned that the nomenclature was changed in 2016. Almost two years have passed but some shops still make use of the former name in their addresses. Therefore, the ASUD has requested the store owners and shopkeepers to make the necessary changes at the earliest possible time.  

AMEN(U) reshuffles office; informs on member registration

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The Association of Mechanical Engineers Nagaland (Unemployed) in its meeting held on August 16 has reshuffled its office bearers for the upcoming tenure. It constituted Vikuto Kitho as President, Mulusato Shijoh as General Secretary and Toinoto Aye as Finance Secretary, stated a release from its President Vikuto Kitho and Vice president Keresüto Hibo. The association further appealed all the Mechanical Engineers (degree) to immediately register with a registration membership fee of Rs 400 (new) and Rs 200 (old) for the year 2018. ANPETA Dimapur Unit executive body elected

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The All Nagaland Physical Education Teacher Association (ANPETA) has informed the members of Dimapur unit and also other district units that executive body of ANPETA, Dimapur unit has been selected for three years term with effect from August 16 during the general meeting convened at GHSS Conference Hall, Nagarjan, Dimapur. The team will be headed by President Thepfungunyu Solo, Vice President T. Supongbenli, General Secretary Thejalelhou K. Kuotsu, Joint Secretary Apang Phom and Treasurer Thepfuzolie.  

Cleanliness drive at Agri Expo

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): More than 70 personnel along with the officers of 173 Battalion CRPF and staff of Agri Expo carried out a cleanliness drive at Agri Expo, Dimapur on August 16. The cleanliness drive was undertaken as a part of observing Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS), a release from Commandent, 172 Bn, CRPF Airfield, Dimapur informed. He also spoke on the importance of cleanliness in public and stated that cleanliness drive will continue in vital areas.  

Naga Club Centenary to be observed in Nov

Kohima, August 18 (MExN): The Naga Club in a meeting on August 17 nominated tribal representatives. During the meeting, the house unanimously regularized the executive body that was existing as an adhoc body since November 11, 2017, informed a release issued by KN Mhonthung Lotha, Secretary. It also constituted the organizing committee for the centenary celebration with Medoselhou Keretsü as the Convenor. The tentative date for the celebration was chosen as November 24, 2018. It further paid homage to late Atal Bihari Vajpayee by observing a moment of silence.  

Tobu SDPDB meeting held

Mon, August 18 (MExN): The Tobu SDPDB held its meeting at ADC conference hall on August 16. It was chaired by SDPDB Chairman & Advisor, DUDA, Bongkhao Konyak. He called on the people to give constructive and perceptive ideas for the welfare of the people of Tobu sub-division. The last meeting minutes was reviewed by ADC Tobu Zubenthung Kithan, a release said. The board decided to remind concerned authority for immediate posting of headmasters at Government High School Tobu and Bume, SDO Civil Muknyakshu, EAC Mopong, SCMO, and nurses to Tobu HQ. It also deliberated on issues like shortage of water supply and construction of roads at various places.  

Youth Welfare Club observes Swachhata Pakhwada

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): The Youth Welfare Club under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Youth affairs and Sport, Government of India has carried out various activities of Swachhata Pakhwada from August 1 to 15 under the supervision of K. Phyobemo Lotha, District Youth Coordinator, NYK Dimapur. A press release from Youth Welfare Club President, A Shyerhunlo Lorin, and General Secretary, Tolito K Shohe said that the team of young change makers took up the challenge and understood the various task under the theme “One step toward Swachhta Bharat”. The team carried out activities like wall painting, drawing competition, and cleaning. The Youth Welfare Club is a group of like minded youths formed with an aim of inspiring through volunteerism.
