
CM expresses sadness
Kohima, August 22 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed sadness over the passing of Visebi Dolie at the age of 91 in Kohima. The deceased, he said, was a well known senior citizen and one of the most revered patriarchs from Khonoma village. “He was renowned for his simplicity and wisdom which is evident from the fact that people used to seek his advice on various issues of importance. He was known to be honest in all his dealings and also strove to imbibe the same in his family. In his demise, we have lost a visionary and a guide whose absence will be felt tremendously,” the CM stated. Rio along with his family further offered condolences to the bereaved family.
ENPO offers condolences
Tuensang, August 22 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has expressed pain at the demise of Longkei Phom, mother of Minister for Health & Family Welfare & Chairman, ENLU, S Pangnyu Phom. “Longkei Phom was a blessed mother of the family and for the people of Eastern Nagaland. Her blessings displayed towards the people as God fearing lady and the compassion and sympathy she once held for the people shall be ever cherished,” stated a condolence message from ENPO president, Kekongchim and information secretary, Akiu Y. The organization conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty give strength and comfort to them.
Supply Colony Council mourns
Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Supply Colony Council (SCC), Dimapur has expressed shock and sadness over the tragic incident that occurred in the colony on August 21, where one person was electrocuted while on duty and working on repair/welding assignment. The Council in a press release issued by Chairman Wekhape Letro has requested the Power department to grant whatever entitlement the victim was supposed to get at an early date.
NSCN (IM) mourns Deputy Kilonser’s death
Hebron, August 22 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed pain at the demise of Moatemjen from Mangmetong village (Ao Region), Deputy Kilonser on August 22 after a prolonged illness at his residence in Dimapur. He joined the national service on October 30, 2016. A condolence message from Ministry of Information & Publicity, NSCN (IM) stated, “He was a committed national worker who had served the nation faithfully in the capacity of Deputy Kilonser until his last breath. His sacrifice for the National Cause will always be cherished.” It further extended condolences to his bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal peace and rest to the departed soul.
