Workshop on Pension Adalat on September 5

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms (Pension Branch) will be organizing a workshop on Pension Adalat on September 5 at 11:00 am at Multi-Purpose Hall, ATI, Kohima. The programme will be chaired by the Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR, Abhishek Singh, IAS who will also delivered the introductory message and keynote address. Deputy Accountant General Nagaland, KahotoYepthomi, IA&AS and OSD Finanace Department Nagaland, Taliremba will be resource persons respectively. The resource persons will be speaking on functions, importance and purpose of Pension Adalat. There will also be an interactive session on Pension Grievances.  

NPC to commemorate Peace Day

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Nagaland Peace Centre (NPC), Kohima is set to commemorate Peace Day on September 6 on the occasion of 53rd ceasefire anniversary. NPC Chairman N Theyo said that a thanksgiving service in commemoration of the day will take place at 11:00 am at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima. All the members have been asked to attend the same without fail.  

S Takatuba Aier given charge of Addl Director & HoD, Municipal Affairs

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): Urban Development Department has informed that S. Takatuba Aier, Additional Director, Directorate of Urban Development and State Mission Director, SULM (DAY-NULM) has been transferred and posted as Additional Director & HoD, Municipal Affairs with effect from September 1, a notification informed. Dr M Toshimanen Ozukum who is retiring on August 31 will be handing over the charge to the incoming Additional Director & HoD on August 31. A Takatuba Aier, Additional Director, Municipal Affairs will continue to hold the charge of State Mission Director, SULM (DAY-NULM) temporarily till new arrangement is made by the Department, the notification further informed.  

Indian red Cross Society inducts new office bearers

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Managing Committee members, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kohima District branch in a meeting on August 16 and 24 under the chairmanship of Rajesh Sundararanjan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman IRCS, Kohima District branch inducted new office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021. Honorary Secretary- Thehiechülie Louis Solo; Joint Secretary- Santu Thapa, Kejaroko Pieru; Treasurer- Kechangulie Miachieo; Chairman- Deputy Commissioner; and Vice Chairman- Chief Medical Officer, Kohima District, a release from Thehiechülie Louis Solo, Secretary informed. The house also inducted Khriesatuo Keretsü, Aomeren Longkumer, Kuoliebeizo Mepfhüo and Tepongusa Sale as Managing Committee Member.  

GPRN/NSCN discharges 3

Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): GPRN/NSCN has discharged three from active national service with immediate effect. Kughato V Achumi, Khapur under UT-1 was discharged by the office of the Secretary, Kilo Affairs. While, Along and E Langphong in the rank of Razou Peyu were also terminated by the Kilo Kilonser as per the party Discipline, Section D, Clause 4, stated a press release issued by R Sangtam from MIP, GPRN/NSCN.

AR apprehend NSCN (K) cadres

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): Based on specific information, Assam Rifles Chieswema Battalion launched an operation on August 30. One NSCN (K) cadre, identified as Kekhriesetou (24) was apprehended at High School junction. One 7.65 mm Pistol with magazine, two live rounds and extortion slips were seized from his possession. The apprehended person along with the recovered items was handed over to North Police Station, Kohima for further investigation. On the same date, Mokokchung battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an operation along with a police representative in Longleng district. One NSCN (K) cadre was apprehended at Yongya village with one pt 22 Pistol with magazine and 3 live rounds. The apprehended person with recovered items was handed over to Longleng Police Station.
