Application for temporary firework license
Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): In accordance with Rule 84 of Explosives Rules, 2008 and circular by Chief Controller of Explosives, application for temporary firework license would be issued at the office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur. In this connection, interested parties to stock and sell fire crackers have been directed to obtain permits for the same. The licenses will be issued only on temporary basis, a press release issued by PRO to Dimapur Police informed.
AR apprehend two with arms
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): The Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles apprehended two persons and recovered arms and ammunition from them at the Kiphire-Chomi Road on September 30. A press note from the AR informed that one 9 mm Pistol (Country Made) along with a round of 9 mm were recovered. The apprehendees were identified as Tsulenkhiung Yimchunger (21) and Y Lemtsuba Yimchunger (24). The apprehended individuals alongwith recovered items were handed over to Kiphire Police Station.
Advanced GIIT celebrates 10th anniv
Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): Advanced GIIT in Dimapur celebrated its 10th year anniversary at Noune Resort with students group and GIIT team members. A press release informed that Advanced GIIT started in the year 2008 with various programmes and schemes for empowerment of students. Advanced GIIT has been receiving best of Nagaland award by India's largest computer education board (NBCE) for the last three consecutive years and has also received the Golden Star Award for providing quality education,it added.
NSACS multimedia campaign on Oct 6
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society will be conducting the eight phase of theur Multi-Media Campaign in the state to promote Awareness, Compassion, Education and Support for the issue of HIV and AIDS on October 6 at the Heritage Old DC Bungalow, Kohima at 4:00 pm. The campaign aims to capitalize on the popularity of music among the youth and create HIV awareness with the tagline "LIFE NOW - Yes Life, No HIV." On the day, along with music, activities such as HIV Testing, quiz on HIV, Motivational speeches, IEC materials /free merchandise distribution, etc will be done.
