1st anniversary of FM Tragopan today

Kohima, October 8 (MExN): All India Radio, Kohima will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of FM Tragopan on October 9 at All India Radio, Kohima. Programme Executive (CO), LK Mulong will deliver the key note address while short speeches will be delivered by Assistant Engineer, P.S. Tripathi, RJs and News Section. Assistant Director (P)/Head of Office, N. Kaimang Chang will deliver the welcome address while News Reader, Jonas Yanthan will propose vote of thanks. Vemucho Chuzo will be the chairperson of the programme.  

SCERT informs on order placement for textbooks

Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Nagaland has informed all concerned that it will facilitate the procuring of the Nagaland Heritage Studies Series (MIL) Classes 1-8 and Nagaland Heritage Studies Series (English Version) Classes 5-8 textbooks for all private schools for the Academic session 2019. A release from the Director, SCERT, T Sekhose has further asked those wishing to use SCERT Nagaland developed textbooks from Pre-Primary to Class 5 in all curricular, to place their orders with the Department. “All parties are kindly requested to get in touch with the Department to place their school requirements on or before the 25th October 2018.” The following persons can be contacted for further information Kedingulie (+918014893515)/ Keneisezo (+919774039398).  

PDTA nominates new office bearers

Phek, October 8 (MExN): As per the notification of the Election Convener of the Phek District Timber Association (PDTA) to hold a general meeting cum election of all bonafide members at Mini Tourist, Pfutsero on September 26, the house has “unanimously nominated Daniel Losou and his team to be the office bearers for the tenure 2018-2020.” PDTA Election Convener Hunetsu Vero in a release also clarified that the meeting to be convened by some “self-styled group of PTDA” on October 11 at Chizami which was published in the media has been expelled from the membership of PTDA based on Article No 10.  

Physical verification for pensioners in Wokha

Wokha, October 8 (MExN): District Treasury Officer, Wokha, T Thungalee Khuvung has informed all pensioners and family members of pensioners operating transaction under Senior Treasury Officer Wokha that there will be physical verification for the year 2018 on October 16 and 17. Therefore, all pensioners have been informed to bring their respective PPO Book and attend the verification as scheduled. Failing to attend the physical verification shall entail the pension as closed and submit the same to AG Nagaland after completion of verification.  

F&CS Kohima informs on PHH & AAY food-grains

Kohima, October 8 (MExN): All FPS/Village Councils of Kohima centre has been informed that the PHH and AAY food-grains will be released from October 11 onwards from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Food & Civil Supplies, Kohima Grace Metha Senior Inspector, in a release has asked the concerned FPS/Village Councils to collect their respective quota within the stipulated period. Kezocha Circle Villages and Merema, Tsiese Basa and Bawe, Thizama and Rusoma on October 11; Jakha Circle Villages on October 12; Kohima Sadar and Secu circle Villages on October 15; and Kohima Town FPS on October 16 & 17.  

NCSU Dimapur supports Open Tender

Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): The Dimapur Division of Nagaland Contractor's and Suppliers Union (NCSU) has extended its solidarity to the demand for an end to table tender and invite open tender in all contract & supply works to avoid legal action put forward by NCSU head office. In this regard, a press release was issued by the President and General Secretary that the NSCU Dimapur Division will “ensure that works are awarded according to open tender and strict compliance to the terms and conditions shall be maintained.”
