Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The Director, Directorate School Education has directed all DEO/SDEO to nominate one Office Assistant from each establishment (one from DEO office and one from SDEO office) dealing or looking after Accounts matter in the office to attend the two day training on account matters for the District Office assistants at Directorate Conference Hall, Kohima on January 30 and 31 without fail. The nominated officials have been informed to report at the training venue on January 30, 9:00 am for registration. The Director, Directorate School Education has also informed all DEO/SDEO/JEO/AEO/SIS to attend the one day conference on February 1 at SIEMAT Hall (SCERT) Kohima without fail. Disciplinary action will be initiated against those who fail to turn up. The officers are directed to reach the venue at 9:00 am sharp for registration.
Jalukie police apprehends three
Peren, January 28 (MExN): DEF Peren personnel from Jalukie Police Station apprehended 3 (three) persons on January 25 while they were collecting money from a truck on the highway at Punglwa area. A press release from the Superintendent of Police, Peren stated that based on information of some unknown miscreants carrying out extortion from commercial vehicles plying on the Jharnapani-Jalukie route under Peren District, the operation was carried out. The persons arrested were identified as: Viyiho (60) of Hekheshe village (SS Leacy UT-Ghaspani area NSCN (IM)); Odiyanger (33), of Chuchuyimlang village; Samuel (24), of Punglwa village. Cash amounting to Rs 800 collected by the arrested trio from other commercial vehicles was recovered from their possession. In this connection, a case has been registered under Jalukie Police Station C/No.002/19.
Üsounuomia Krotho Day on Jan 30
Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The Üsounuomia Krotho Day will be held on January 30, 10: 30 am at D Khel Ground Kohima Village with Kruyie Pienyü as the special guest. All the clan members and well-wishers are requested to join the celebration. The clan members are also requested to wear at least one Tenyimia attire on the day.
CCLB general meeting on January 31
Kohima, January 28 (MExN): A general meeting of Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) officials, Chokrimi frontal Organizations, Chokrimi Church Organizations, Chokri Gospel Committee, Public Leaders, Elders and concerned Chokri speaking people, has been convened on January 31, 11:00 am onwards at Tourist Lodge, near NAP Camp, Pfutsero. A press statement issued by CCLB Assistant Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho stated that the meeting will deliberate and resolve vital issues in the writing and publication of gospel literature in Chokri in particular and development and perpetuation of Chokri language in general. Bag containing explosives recovered
Wokha, Janaury 28 (MExN): The Wokha battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) alongwith representatives of Wokha Police acting on a tip-off recovered a suspicious bag containing three hand grenades, one detonator, 150 gms of explosive power and one 12 volt battery from a Nagaland State Transport bus on January 26. The bus was heading to Dimapur from Zunebuto. The recovered items were handed over to the Wokha police station for further investigation, a press release from AR informed.
Agro servicing centre at Lazami village inaugurated
Pughoboto, January 28 (MExN): The Sub Divisional Agricultural Office, Pughoboto inaugurated its first ever agro servicing centre at Lazami village on January 25 with ADC Pughoboto, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi as the special guest. Opening remarks was given by Myanthung Patton, SDAO Pughoboto followed by brief remarks about the centre by Shihovi, proprietor Agro servicing centre, Lazami. The special guest in his speech emphasized on sincere implementation at grassroot level for success of any scheme and also requested the leaders to support and encourage and also spread the new idea to all villages under the sub division. The servicing centre is set up to cater to the sub division providing services and repairing of machineries especially power tillers which were provided to various villages under the sub division recently.
Kiphire observes mass social work
Kiphire, January 28 (MExN): The Kiphire District Administration organized mass social work on January 25 in view of the Republic day celebration. DPRO Kiphire, in a press release stated that social work was initiated in every heads of offices and wards of different colonies in the town. Blocked drainages were removed and roads were cleaned in the town area.
