LDPA Silver Jubilee on Oct 26

LONGLENG, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): The Longleng District Pensioners’ Association (LDPA) will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee on October 26 under the theme ‘Amazed Beyond Measure.’ A press note from the jubilee planning committee informed that Minister for Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom will grace the celebration as the special guest and BS Nganlang will deliver a short speech. The programme will be held at PPC Hall new construction site at 8:30am.  

GPRN/NSCN informs

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has informed that it has terminated the service of Kaijang Singson, Leacy under Kuki Region; and suspended Kiqheto Zhimomi Leacy Sumi Region for a period of three months. Two separate press releases from the office of the MIP has informed that the orders have been duly approved by the Kilo Kilonser, (Home).  

PDTA elects new office bearers

Phek, October 19 (MExN): Phek District Timber Association (PDTA) has elected new office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021 on October 11 at Chizami Town Hall with the President and Secretary, Nagaland Timbers Trader’s Union (NTTU) as Observers, Tsote Wezah, President, PDTA informed in a press release. Tsote Wezah and Tsolomong Peri has been elected as President and General Secretary respectively. Advisor and representative to NTTU, Vice President (Area Representative) and Women Co-ordinators were also elected.  

HYS elects new executive members

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Hindu Yuva Sanga held its general elections on October 15. Ratnadeep Bhattacharjee and Kaushik Dasgupta were elected as the President and General Secretary respectively.  

NIDA condoles

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Nagaland In-Service Doctor Association (NIDA) has expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Dr Kuzholuto Tetseo on October 15. In a condolence message, the NIDA conveyed that late Dr Tetseo was a sincere and dedicated member of the Association and it deeply mourn his death and share the pain and sorrow with the family at this hour of grief.  

Kohima district BJP executive meeting held

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The Kohima District BJP in compliance with the directive of the State BJP headed by Temjen Imna Along held an executive meeting on October 15 last. Various schemes launched by BJP government at the Centre for the well being of the common people were discussed as the meeting for successful implementation of the same in the district. The meeting resolved to fully cooperate with the PDA government headed by chief minister Neiphiu Rio, and deputy chief minister Y Patton, in implementing all the developmental works in the district. The meeting also resolved to fully participate in the programmes like Swaach Bharat Abhiyan, plastic free state starting from November 2018.  

Zeliang extends condolence

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): TR Zeliang, Leader of NPF Legislature Party has expressed sadness over the demise of Liangmeijei Paul Rongmei, father of Mathew Rongmei, Associate Press Secretary of Press Bureau, NPF Central who passed away at Guwahati on October 18. In a condolence message, Zeliang said, “Late Liangmeijei Paul Rongmei was born on July 15, 1937 and served as Catechist of Holycross Parish, Dimapur and is a pioneer of St. Francis of Assisi Church at Zeliangrong Village, Dimapur. He was a founding member of Zeliangrong Village, Dimapur.” Further, stating that “His demise is a great loss to the Zeliangrong Community,” he extended condolences and prayed that the Almighty God grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members and all his near and dear ones.
