
KMC directs shopkeepers on toilets
Kohima, October 21 (MExN): Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has asked all the shopping arcades and complexes within the town area to compulsorily provide toilet facilities for customers within their respective complexes. The release also informed all traders/shopkeepers within Kohima that the National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme (NIDDCP), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare is observing Global IDD Prevention Day on October 23 at 11:30 am on the theme “Iodised Salt, Traders Responsibilities” at LCS Building, Conclave Conference Hall near Ao Baptist Church, Kohima. KMC Administrator Kovi Meyase in a release has asked all traders/shopkeepers to attend the programme positively.
NSCN (IM) inducts new Caretaker CAO
Hebron, October 21 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) in a press release issued by MIP has informed that Kikheto Chishi (Kilonser) is the new Caretaker CAO (Central Administrative Officer) of Union Territory-I (UT-I) with effect from the October 20 in an order issued by the Ministry of Kilo Affairs. The UT-I has further appealed and sought full cooperation from the Hohos, Gaon Buras, various organizations/associations, Church leaders, students’ bodies, colony chairmen, business establishments and each and every individual for smooth functioning of the administration and peace in our society.
AR conducts lecture at Fernwood School
Kohima, October 21 (MExN): The Assam Rifles Kohima Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (North) conducted a lecture on “Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Future” at Fernwood School, Kohima on October 18. During the lecture, several aspects like skill development, initiative of Government of India for empowerment of the youth were shared with the students. A press note from the AR informed that 67 students and 7 teachers from the school attended the event.
Tribal Synthesis Trust Group to hold tournament on Nov 15 & 16
Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): Tribal Synthesis Trust Group in collaboration with The Global Open University Nagaland (TGOUN) will be organising an Inter School/ College/Club/Sector volleyball (Men) Tournament with the theme "Success Is When Preparation Meet Opportunity" which will be held on November 15 and 16 at PWD Children's Park, Landmark Colony, Dimapur. Tribal Synthesis Trust Group is a voluntary social service organization for social action and economic development in an integrated way. This event is been organised with a goal to put emphasis on how sport are integral to the system of education whilst instilling the spirit of team spirit and upholding individuality.
