BJP revoke expulsion order
Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): In a major development within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Organisation, the President Temjen Imna Along in order to revamp the party has revoked the expulsion order of Dr Khriezovolie Kesiyie and Seyiekhrielie Nagi who were expelled from both primary and active membership on October 21, 2017 by the then State President Visasolie Lhoungu on the ground of anti-party activities which was recommended by the disciplinary committee of the Party.
However, Media Cell, BJP Nagaland in a press statement said, the case was thoroughly reviewed again and found that the expulsion order was in his own interest and was self-styled and amounted to character assassination of the two party leaders. Therefore, in the interest of the party, the State President has revoked the expulsion order on October 18, 2018, it stated.
Meanwhile, the State President has appointed Seyiekhrielie Nagi as new Kohima District President, Hiachanglak as new Peren District President and I.Aliba as Mangkolemba (Org.) District President with effect from October 23.
Rengma Hoho appeals
Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): The Rengma Hoho in a consultative meeting held on October 18 has appealed to Chuba Ozukum to honorably pave way for the Naga Hoho to reorganize Naga Hoho Office bearers with the consent and blessing of all Naga tribes in this crucial period. The Hoho affirmed its stand to uphold the Naga Hoho Yehzabo (Constitution), stated a press release by General Secretary Thanchilo Kath and Vice President Nontilo Magh. It further added that it was not in favor or against any individuals or organization. But as per article 18 (1) of the Naga Hoho Yehzabo which mentions that “Every bonafide Naga whose tribe is a constituent unit of Naga Hoho shall be eligible to hold any post of Naga Hoho,” the present President, Chuba Ozukum whose tribe was no more a constituent unit of Naga Hoho, held no moral right to hold its seat, the release maintained and further informed of non-cooperation till the crisis was resolved.
AR apprehends NSCN (K) cadre
Mon, October 23 (MExN): Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched an operation and apprehended an individual, Hangang, 33 years of age, a resident of Changlang on October 22. On being questioned, the individual confessed his involvement as an OGW worker for NSCN (K) and had been collecting money in Mon town on behalf of NSCN (K) and was planning to move to Changlang for deposition of tax money. A press release from Lieutenant Colonel, L Vincent Patton PRO, HQ IGAR (N) stated that the individual along with the recovered items were handed over to Mon Police station for further investigation.
