
Dimapur traffic police informs
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Dimapur traffic police have informed the owners of heavy trucks and vehicles not to park in the highway stretching from Purana Bazar to Chümoukedima during peak hours. It also informed all the Towing/recovery van agencies operating within this stretch are directed to obtain prior permission from the respective Traffic Zone Officers (ACP/O.C Traffic Zone –II (1) 7085055015 (2) 7085055029) for better management of an unhindered traffic flow. All two-wheeler riders are instructed to wear helmets for safety and defaulters will be penalized.
DTCC informs
Kohima, October 29 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Kohima and chairman DLCC, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS has informed that all the concerned Anti-Tobacco Squads have been directed to carry out enforcement drives twice a month and submit their report. This was decided in a meeting of the District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) Kohima held on September 27 exercising the power conferred by Section 21, 24 and 25 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisements and regulation of the trade and commerce, production, supply and distribution) Act 2003.
Phek DC directs landowners, others
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 29 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Phek has informed all landowners, governmental and non governmental agencies to clear up/vacate buildings, plantations, fisheries and any other structures acquired through compensation for the 2-Laning of Pfutsero-Phek Road (SARDP-NE). A notice from the Phek DC informed that the clearing up needs to be done within one month. It also informed that after the stipulated date, the acquired land would be taken into possession by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporations Limited (MoRTH) for construction purposes immediately without any further notice.
BJP clarifies on expulsion
Kohima, October 29 (MExN): The former BJP President Visadolie Ungu issued a statement on October 29 stating that the press release dated October 23 claiming “BJP Nagaland revokes former officials' expulsion" was not issued by the party head office. In this regard, the State Unit Party President Temjen Imna Along has sent an apology letter on October 24 claiming that he was unaware of the write up calling it 'totally unjustified' and `unsubstantiated' and that the allegation labeled against me in the press release was `defamatory', `unwarranted' and 'untrue’, the statement said. This, Ungu said, is a direct affront to the principles and working system of the Party by some unscrupulous persons bent on creating discord within the party rank and file and urged that persons misguiding the party leaders with vested interest should be rooted out from the party after thorough investigation so that the unity and sanctity of the party is maintained.
DDVCCA clarifies to WSKH
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Dimapur District Village Council Chairman Association (DDVCCA) issued a clarification on October 29 to the Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) that the creation of the DDVCCA “in no way encroach the powers and functions of the GB institutions”. The statement from DDVCCA stated that “the formation of the DDVCCA will in no way change nor alter the provisions” of the Tribal and Village Acts 1978 and added that it has the highest respect for the village chieftaincy. The statement issued by Keron Janger Vice President and Vitho Zao Secretary DDVCCA also stated that the DDVCCA was formed with the objective to have better coordination among member villages, foster development through good governance and extend cooperation to various developmental activities. The statement added that it is “willing to sit across the table for any discussion or clarification with any organization for better understanding on its formation as an organization.”
Three-wheeler recovered
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The Ministry of Information and Publicity NSCN (IM) has informed that its Union Territory authority has recovered a three wheeler vehicle (Auto) bearing Chasis number 24MBVA02644 and Engine number MD2AA24ZZVA01587. The rightful owner have been informed to claim the recovered auto by producing proper documents at the UT office during the office hour within a week from the date of publication of the news. ANSTA appeals members and units on conference
Kohima, October 29 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has appealed to all the members and units to attend the general conference to be held from November 1 to 2 at John GHSS Viswema and to abstain from organizing any kind of programmes during the two proposed days. A press release from the President Ponchulo Wanth and General Secretary Visoto Koso also reminded that all members can avail two days casual leave/any kind of leave from their own levels as permitted by the government in its letter NO.DSE/ESTT/MISC/1-91/2016 dated Kohima the 12th Oct 2018 to attend the conference.
Dibrugarh NCF gets its first Pastor
Dibrugarh, October 29 (MExN): The long felt need for a spiritual leader for Naga community in Dibrugarh was fulfilled by the grace of God on October 29 with the installation of Dr Bendangjunshi as the first Pastor of Dibrugarh Naga Christian Fellowship. The ceremony was administered by Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM) Secretary Rev Andrew SEMP. Dibrugarh NCF was established in 1972 but was not under NMM until recently.
