EAC Chumu informs Commercial advertising boards owners
Dimapur, October 30 (MExN): Thejavizo Nakhro , NCS, EAC and Administrator, Chümoukedima Town Council has notified all concerned owners of commercial Advertising boards/ bill boards located under Chümoukedima Town Council jurisdiction to register at Chümoukedima Town Council office on or before November 15. The release further informed that non-registered advertising boards/bill boards are liable to be removed and confiscated after the expiry of the due date.
District Welfare Officer informs on payment
Dimapur, October 30 (MExN): District Welfare Officer Dimapur, Tosheli has informed that payment for Old Age/Widow/Disabled/Blind under NSAP and State, Department of Social Welfare for 9 (nine) months would be made in the Council/ Town Halls on the mentioned dates: November 2 - Viyito Village (under CDPO Niuland), November 3 - Khehokhu Village (under CDPO Kuhuboto), November 5 -Dhansiripar (under CDPO Dhansiripar), November 12 - Chumukedima (under CDPO Rural), November 13 - Medziphema (under CDPO Medziphema), November 15 - Forest Colony (under CDPO Urban). Beneficiaries are directed to collect their pensions from the nearest place of payment along with Xerox copy of Aadhaar card and Bank Account front page.
Social welfare dept golden jubilee
Kohima, October 30 (MExN): The State’s Department of Social Welfare will celebrate its golden jubilee on October 31 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima at 11:00 am. Noke Wangnao, Advisor Social Welfare, Home Guards and Civil Defence will grace the occasion as guest of honour. Short speeches will be delivered by Sarah R Ritseo, Secretary Social Welfare, AY Odyuo, first Director Social Welfare, Nochet Aier, Rtd Director Social Welfare and Khevito T Shohe, Rtd Director Social Welfare.
JNV selection test 2019
Dimapur, October 30 (MExN): The District Education Officer, Dimapur has informed all the parents/guardians/students that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya selection test 2019 for admission to class VI will be held on April 6, 2019. Interested candidate may apply online through NVS website, www.navodaya.gov.in . Application can be submitted from October 23 to November 30.
AR apprehends 2 NDFB (S) cadres
Kohima, October 30 (MExN): Kohima Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended two individuals during a search operation launched at BOC, Kohima on October 24. The apprehended persons were identified as Lance Corporal Biki Basumatary, NDFB (S), (28) and Nerswn Narzary (18). Items recovered from their possession included a mobile phone and cash of 1,000 Won in Korean Currency. According to a release from AR, Lance Corporal Biki Basumatary revealed that he had infiltrated to Myanmar in 2014 and recently relocated to Kohima in general area D’ Block with the motive to recruit new cadres and also act as a linkup man between NSCN (K) and NDFB (S). He was further instructed to facilitate movement of cadres from Assam to Myanmar through Kohima. Both apprehended persons were handed over to South Police Station, Kohima for further investigation.
AR seizes illegal arms
Tuensang, October 30 (MExN): The Zunheboto Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post after a tip off and apprehended an individual with illegal arms in Longkhim town Tuensang on October 25. The apprehended person was identified as Deepak Rai (46) of Karbi Anglong (Assam). The recoveries included two 9 mm Pistol with magazines (Japan & Russian made) and one Point 32 Pistol with magazine. The apprehendee alongwith recovered items was handed over to Longkhim police station for further investigation.
