DMC informs on e-waste management

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): The Office of The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all the dealers generating e-waste within the Dimapur Municipal jurisdiction that it is mandatory to segregate and store the e-waste separately as per the provisions of the e-waste Management Rules, 2016 as amended by the e-waste (Amendment) Rules, 2018. The Administrator DMC, Moa Sangtam in a press release informed that it has authorized e- Circle to be the collecting agency for this purpose. All the concerned are informed to co-operate with the e- Circle.  

WCSU informs on verification drive

Wokha, November 1 (MExN): The Wokha Circle Students' Union (WCSU) through its Information & Publicity Secretary, Longshithung Yanthan has informed that a verification drive for non-local registration card for the current year will be held at the new office building of the Lotha Students' Union (LSU) starting from November 3 to 8, by 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. All the non locals residing within Wokha district are requested to come and verify the NLRC within the stipulated date and time, failing which stern action shall be necessitated by WCSU.  

ART drug now available in ART centres

Kohima, November 1 (MExN): Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) has informed the clients that the ART drug for both adults and children are available in the respective ART centres. Dr. Ngangshimeren, Project Director NSACS in a press release stated that in case of any confusion, the individual may feel free to contact the ART Centre or NSACS Office whichever convenient.  

Farmers’ sensitization programme

Kohima, November 1 (MExN): The Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Kohima under Nagaland State Agriculture Marketing Board (NSAMB) in collaboration with Directorate of Sericulture and Directorate of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources is organizing a Farmers Sensitization Programme on ‘Market-led Extension’ cum Sale’s Day for all the farmers under Kohima district in Super Market Area, near Kohima Local ground on November 6 at 7:00 AM. Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator Kovi Meyase will be the special guest.  

Workshop on GeM in Dimapur

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): As continuation of the Nation-Wide Campaign on Government eMarketplace (GeM) a two-day district level workshop will be held in Dimapur on November 13 and 14 in the Conference Hall of Commissioner of Taxes, Dimapur. All interested parties (Buyers & Sellers) both Government and Non-Government Agencies, may avail the opportunity and attend the Workshop which will commence at 10:00 am each day. The Workshop will focus on registration of buyers and sellers. Therefore, all interested parties may bring the following documents for registration: Buyers: Aadhar Number, Mobile Number and for Officials email id issued by NIC (@gov.in/@nic.in). BJP Dimapur appoints new district office bearers

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): In the interest of BJP Organization Nagaland, the President of BJP Dimapur district has appointed the new district office bearers and Mandal Presidents under BJP Dimapur district. The newly appointed bearers are Avile Lea as Vice-President, Kakugha Yepthomi as Vice-President, Ikato V. Sumi as Vice-President, Afi Snock as Vice-President, Pouhiamlung Gangmei as General Secretary, Aosanen as Secretary, Atu Jamir as Secretary, L. Rongmeijai Anthony as Mandal President, 1-Dimapur-I Mandal. A press release from the General Secretary has directed all the office bearers to work strictly upholding the party’s constitution.  

Hindu Yuva Sanga elects new executives

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): Hindu Yuva Sanga held its general election on October 15. The house elected Ratnadeep Bhattacharjee as President, Kaushik Dasgupta as General Secretary, Pranab Poddar as Treasurer, Seema Debnath as Women and Education coordinator, Amit Kumar Roy as Information Secretary and eleven other executives, stated a press release.  

KSU holds 71st Session of Federal Assembly

Mon, November 1 (MExN): The 71st Session of the Konyak Students Union (KSU) Federal Assembly 2018 was held on October 26 at Council Hall Mon. The KSU is an apex body of the Konyaks and it functions with the assistance of the federation units, stated a press release. The Federal Assembly approved the planning committee for platinum Jubilee as follows: Convener Tongwang Yanlem CDPO Mon, Co-convener P.M Nokpai President KVCU, Planning secretary Moba Advocate. The assembly also declared the theme for the year 2019 as “The year of Education.” The meeting was chaired by Penlem Pansha Speaker KSU. The meet started with hoisting of the Union flags by the President of KSU, Bumang Phaiba.  

Mini Hornbill Festival ends in Peren

Peren, November 1 (MExN): Advisor, Water Resources Department, Namri Nchang graced the Chega Gadi Lamsimngi Mini Hornbill cum Naga King Chilly eating festival which began from October 29 culminated at DC complex, New District Headquarter, Peren on October 31. Tourism Officer Peren, Kelhouse-ü delivered the welcome address while DC Peren, S. Tainiu pronounced the vote of thanks. The highlights of the programme included cultural extravaganza by Jalukie B cultural troupe and winner of Peren Voice Impact 2016, Keyipeisile Herie presented a special song.
