ABNHPM/PMJAY held at Mon Mon, November 4 (MExN): The Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission/Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna was held at Mon on November 1 at the Council hall Mon. The DC of Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS highlighted the nature of the scheme and exhorted the gathering that ABNHPM/PMJAY is the largest scheme in the world. The scheme was launched on September 23 and implemented on September 25. Chief Medical Officer, Mon and Yingnei, Nodal Officer (AB-NHPM) District Hospital Mon, Renthungo Humtsoe Mitra (AB-NHDM) District hospital, Mon explained the details of the scheme and how to enroll in it. HODs, NGOs, village Councils Chairmen and Ward Presidents from all wards also attended the meeting. Vote of thanks was delivered by District Program Manager Bonnie.   TSUD condoles demise of late Tanthungam Gonmei Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) has expressed sadness at the sudden demise of Late Tanthungam Gonmei s/o G Athui and Achamliu Gonmei, brother of Gaitangliu Vice President, TSUD. The Union in a press release, prayed that the Almighty God will grant solace to the bereaved family, and for the departed soul to rest in peace.   LNCS, Wokha appoints new office bearers Wokha, November 4 (MExN): The Lotha Naga Cultural Society (LNCS), Wokha branch elected its new office bearers at the joint meeting on October 28 held at the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) Office Wokha for the tenure 2018-2020. S Achumthung Mozhui and Chumthungo T Ennio have been elected as President and General Secretary respectively. Zubemo Kithan, President of LNCS Okying Kohima spoke on the aims and objectives of the organization to strengthen the Lotha Naga rich Culture and tradition. The oath taking for the new team was administered by Kithan and Rev T Nzio Ezung, Pastor of AG Lotha Church prayed for the new team.   AR apprehend one NSCN (K) cadre Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Dimapur Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended an NSCN (K) cadre carrying out extortion and tax collection in New Market area, Dimapur on October 25. A press release issued by Lt Col L Vincent Patton informed that the cadre Honito Chishi, was apprehended with Extortion Slips of NSCN (K) and NNC (FGN). In addition, a sum of Rs 71,090/- collected through extortion and a UHF Radio Set were recovered from him. He was handed over along with recoveries to Sub Urban Police station, Dimapur for further investigation, the press release stated.   Joint coordination meeting held at Kiphire Kiphire, November 4 (MExN): A joint coordination meeting was convened at DC’s conference hall on November 1 with all the Heads of Offices in Kiphire to discuss regarding the cabinet meeting. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shihab IAS. The DC encouraged all the Heads of Offices to perform their duties sincerely in whatever works they were instructed. He added that Kiphire district is fortunate to have such kind of cabinet meeting, and encouraged them to take it as a privilege.   NEI VBS to organise leadership training Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The NEI, VBS Christian Education department will be organizing the 20th year VBS leadership/teachers training programme at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur from February 13 – 18, 2019. The main aim of this programme is to teach the children and youth to have a strong foundation in Christ. A press release from H. Hammei Buchemhu, NEI VBS Director, Dimapur has requested all the Churches to send their teachers, leaders for the training programme with full sponsorship and prayer support. It further informed the churches to send the filled application form to the above office on time.
