
F&ES informs on training at Mkg Kohima, November 7 (MExN): Department of Fire & Emergency Services, Nagaland, Kohima, Additional Deputy Commissioner & Nodal Officer District Disaster Management Agency (DDMA) Mokokchung, W Manpai Phom has informed that Capacity Building training on Fire Awareness/ Basic Fire Fighting and its prevention/control will be conducted by the Department of Fire & Emergency Service (F&ES) Kohima, tentatively on November 28 at Town Hall, Mokokchung. Three volunteers from all line Department, five volunteers from each School, 40 Volunteers from MCCI and five volunteers each from all the 18 Wards have been asked to attend the training, a DIPR release informed. Naga Club book fair Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The Naga Club has informed that it will be organizing a book fair as part of its 100th Anniversary Celebrations to showcase books published on Naga History, Culture, Tradition and Language for exhibition and sales on November 29 at Local Ground Kohima. In this regard, Naga club invites publishers, authors, scholars and writers to participate in the book fair and may avail the space for exhibition stalls by confirming on or before November 20 through email at nagaclubarchive@gmail.com. Wokha police seizes IMFL Wokha, November 7 (MExN): The Wokha police conducted a surprise house raid on November 3 in Wokha town area on sale of illegal liquor and seized several Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). The seized IMFL includes MC Rum 130 cases, Cane Beer 58 cases, Whisky 15 cases, Vodka 4 cases, Breezer 8 cases and Port wine 2 cases. In this connection five persons have been arrested and a case registered under section 44 ((e) NLTP Act. The arrested persons have been forwarded to the court for further action, a press release from Wokha police informed. FGN appoints Kutsoru Lohe as acting C-in-C Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Kedahge of the Federal Government of Nagaland, Brigadier (retd) S Singnya has appointed Maj Gen Kutsoru Lohe as the Acting C-in-C of the Naga Army Vice Lieutenant with the completion of Gen TM Rhakho, C-in-C Naga Army tenure on November 7. The appointment was done based on the recommendation of the Council of Kilonsers and as per the provisions laid down in Chapter-16 of the Naga Army Rules and Regulations, a release issued by Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs, FGN informed. The order stated that all the formalities of handing over and taking of charge are to be completed latest by November 30.
